Cura pause at layer not working
WebAug 10, 2024 · The pause is not happening. With the method griffin (default setting when opening the dialog the first time) you couldn't even tell if the script was doing anything since no movement commands are executed. The print simply continued without any interruptions since the pause command is the only thing that would have had an effect. WebI tried using the Extension from Cura to change the filament color but when it reached the specified layer #, it just blew by it and didn’t pause at all. Printer: Ender 5 Pro Marlin 1.0.1 Cura 4.8.0 When I look at the g-code, the command that Cura used was M600 however it didn’t pause. Any ideas? EDIT: Solved.

WebOct 5, 2024 · When using the Pause at Height plug-in, stick the piece of filament into the filament sensor and leave your main filament line out of it. When you change filament, the machine won't notice because the little piece is still in the sensor. Within your printer must be a routine that runs when filament runs out. WebI found this reference to post-processing in superslic3r, that may work for you. Until you find the answer, you can manually edit the GCode and add it yourself, just open in a text editor and add the GCode. Cura adds comments into the file for each layer like this- ;LAYER:99 so you can search for the layer you want to stop at.

The one that seems to work with the Ender 3P/Marlin is simply called Pause at Height. First of all: don't use "Filament Change" for Ultimaker 2 (or newer) printers. It uses gcode M600 which is simply ignored by the printer.
